What you will do: Provide input, based on analysis and design results, to the Sabre System Administrator or Director for the creation of business requirement specifications and when needed, write technical design specifications. Learn GFS and ATSG business requirements and software needs, and collaborate to plan future initiatives. Ensure delivered applications meet ATSG standards for security and performance. Facilitate the investigation of production outages or problems and subsequent restoration of service, determine root cause and ensure remediation. Support functions will be primarily during second and third shifts. Lead technical teams through various phases of software development/implementation life cycle process and ensure finished product is completed and delivered within scope and budget. Development and maintenance activities for assigned back-office applications. Participate in technology design decisions; ensure all points of integration are incorporated. Oversee third-party vendor-hosted solutions. Oversee outsourced vendor resources and validate deliverables. Collaborate with IT support groups to firm up application technical requirements, ensure they are accurate, oversee testing of the delivered products per schedule. Update and manage databases that support flight planning functions in Sabre Dispatch Manager. Provide on-call weekend support for GFS. Other duties as assigned. What you need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, relevant certifications and professional training programs. Experience with systems management and software development. Two years experience in development of technical design documents. Working knowledge of software vendor management. Experience with onshore and offshore software development teams. Experience with managing teams to work towards development of best practices. Minimum of three years airline industry experience in a part 121 or 135 operation.
